Moneytastic Contest
Overview
This game was custom-designed for a 7-year-old client, taking inspiration from his original Monkey Kingdom elements. It's a multiplayer party game where players can choose either King Ruby or Chief Plungetta as their avatar. They can compete against each other in a variety of fun activities within the game. I was responsible for the UI and cover image design.

UX Design Process
Challenge
The young customer provided us with a document containing character settings, world settings, and sketches of some characters from the Monkey Kingdom. In order to win his favorite game, we had to add more surprises to the game without altering the style he expected. Moreover, we only had 4 days, which made the timeline quite tight.
Research and Discovery
The sketches provided by the client feature a simplistic style characterized by clean lines and vibrant colors. Additionally, as the game was designed to be a party mini-game, I researched the UI designs of similar games and found that they often employ bright and lively colors, diverse animation effects, and a clean and straightforward layout.
Insights
I decided to maintain the client's cartoon style while enhancing color saturation, designing simple interactive features, and primarily utilizing large buttons. Also incorporated thematic animation effects to complement the overall design.

Animation Effects
The menu's overall artistic Design adheres to traditional Japanese style, which harmonizes with the game's theme. The use of a brushstoke aesthetic within the game extends to the slider bars.
Art Style
The UI has a cartoonish style that reflects the customer's original art style. The color scheme is inspired by tropical settings, and the color scheme is enhanced to match the world-building.

Layout and Buttons
I designed a clean and intuitive layout, utilizing large buttons, so that even younger children can easily find and click the buttons they need, allowing them to quickly get the hang of the game and enjoy the gaming experience.

User Feedback
The client and their friends were highly satisfied with the game's main interface, which offered a variety of game options with additional features. The game provided clear instructions, excellent graphics, support for two-player mode, and featured a fantastic countdown system. The graphics and sound effects in the game brought them immense enjoyment, especially the explosion effects. They were pleased with the clear button design and interface layout, which made it easy for them to find the desired functions and interact with the game.
